Jibati provides a unique showcase of how private entities can and will contribute to total human-nature well-being with perpetuity in mind. Dr. Naresh Rimal, the Chairperson of Jibati brings both local and global food system perspectives. He holds bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees from the US and Australia. Dr. Rimal’s experience is grounded in a deep understanding of local farmers’ and entrepreneurs’ story-webs. He values culture based on spirituality and traditional farming and survival skills. He is deeply concerned about the environment, global issues, and impacts of the economy and modern commercialized lifestyle on both nature and community.  Jibatiwill support family-based community resilience, self-sufficiency, and reduced carbon and another toxicity footprint. As Jibati progresses at the proposed 1.5-hectare site it plans to support replicating itself in other districts of Nepal within three years. Currently, Jibati products are sold mostly to its approximately 1000 member customers.
